Since birth these two have been best buddies….yes, they even call each other buddy.  Since beginning my new adventure as a stay-at-home Mom they don’t get to spend as much time together, so….we (my oh-so-sweet sister-in-law and I) try to plan special playdates just for buddy time.  Today was one of those days….it started with hotwheels and matchbox cars and ended with dress-up and thrown in the middle was a bounce house, pizza buffet and some really great friends…it was AWESOME!  Enjoy!

Like most Moms, I’m wondering where are the photos of me?!?  I’ve made sure that I’ve chronicled Evan’s life but I’ve forgotten about my own.  Starting next week, I will be participating in an online “Finding Your Joy” workshop that focuses on self-portraiture.  I figured I would get a head start and actually let my husband take a photo of me…yes, being on the other side of the lens is quite intimidating….I’ll be sure to remember that during my next photo session.  So watch out…I won’t be hiding behind the camera anymore. Of course, if I was having a photo taken my husband was going to have his taken too….and my little love!  Enjoy!

Editing photos and blog posts for 8 hours today left me absolutely exhausted and I ALMOST forgot about my 365 Project.  Luckily, Evan wasn’t as tired and happily gave me 5 whole minutes to snap a couple photos.  Enjoy!

There’s nothing like watching first-time parents holding their 13 day old newborn.  I’m so glad I had the opportunity to work with this beautiful family.  Baby Macy is tiny and delicate and beautiful….and so incredibly FIESTY.  I would move her to the right, she would move to the left….I would move her to the left and she went to the right.   It was entertaining and so very sweet.  I loved it!!

Favorite moment from this session….having to stop to clean up a 3 year old covered in DIRT!! It was COMICAL! Who knew making ART could be so messy!

You’re only a kid once so why not play in the dirt?!? At our house we play in the dirt, splash around in mud puddles and dance in the rain…seriously.  We let our imginations run WILD…I can only imagine what is going on in Evan’s little mind in today’s photo.  Enjoy!

Absolutely!!!  What ROCKS even more is when a Pro takes the time to share years of knowledge with ME!! Today, I had an amazing opportunity to mentor with Shannon White of Lifelong Impressions and Photographers ROCK!.  We spent the day talking photography and business, photographing an adorable 6 month old at an Urban BABY Session, editing photos and visiting a local print lab…all the good stuff!  I can’t wait to share a Sneak Peak!
